Panasonic urges you to recycle your portable rechargeable batteries and cell phones through a program offered by the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC). These batteries are commonly found in cordless power tools, cellular and cordless phones, laptop computers, camcorders, digital cameras, and remote control toys. RBRC recycles the following battery chemistries: Nickel Cadmium (Ni-CD), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion) and Small Sealed Lead (Pb).
Panasonic supports the RBRC Program by paying a License Recycling Fee for each Panasonic brand battery that we sell. In 2005, Panasonic's support significantly helped RBRC collect and recycle nearly 5 million pounds of rechargeable batteries in the both the U.S. and in Canada. Additionally, during the first 6 months of 2006 approximately 2.4 million pounds had been collected.
